Privacy notice

Pacific Legionis a free social game, and we have built it to need as little of your information as possible. This notice explains what we do and do not collect, and how we approach privacy in line with the principles of New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020.

The short version

• We do not ask you to create an account to play.
• We never collect payment or financial information.
• Your age confirmation and storage preference are kept in your own browser, not on our servers.
• We only receive personal details if you choose to email us or use the contact form.

Information stored in your browser

To make the game work, we keep a small amount of information in your browser's local storage:

• Age confirmation — a simple marker recording that you confirmed you are 18 or over, so you are not asked every visit.
• Storage preference — your choice from the storage notice (accept all or essential only).
• Game preferences — the game may remember display and sound settings while you play.

This information stays on your device. It is not a profile, it does not identify you, and we do not use it to track you across other sites. You can clear it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

If you contact us

When you email us or use the contact form, we receive the details you provide — typically your name, email address and message. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and we do not use it for marketing. We keep it no longer than needed to help you.

What we do not collect

We do not collect payment card details, bank information or any financial data, because there is nothing to pay for. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell or trade personal information.

Analytics

This site does not use third-party advertising or behavioural tracking cookies. If we introduce privacy-respecting analytics in future, we will update this notice and our storage & cookies notice before doing so.

Your choices and rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may ask to access or correct any personal information we hold about you. As we hold so little — usually only the contents of an email you have sent us — this is normally quick to action. Contact us using the details below and we will help.

Children

Pacific Legion is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
